Venerable Drubpon Rinpoche, former General Secretary to His Holiness the Karmapa, will be the honored and principal guest at a Charity Dinner and Auction event to be held at the Oakland Peony Restaurant on Sunday, April 22nd at 5 PM.  Rinpoche will read a letter written by His Holiness the Karmapa himself for this event, and fine cuisine and entertainment will be provided.  To help raise awareness and funds for the upcoming 2012 California Kagyu Monlam, a number of rare and precious thankas and items will be auctioned off, including the original hand-pencilled portrait of the Sixteen Arhats by His Holiness the 17th Karmapa.
